The second Oil Pattern for the 2026 U.S. Open has now been released.
Earlier, USBC announced Oil Pattern 1 for the opening eight-game block. That pattern measured 40 feet with a 1.84 to 1 ratio and 31 milliliters of total volume. Now, details of Oil Pattern 2 have been confirmed.
Oil Pattern 2 will be 47 feet in length. It features a 1.63 to 1 ratio and a total oil volume of 29.22 milliliters.

This pattern will be used during second qualifying blocks of eight games.
The U.S. Open is the second major of the 2026 PBA Tour season.
From Tuesday through Thursday, players bowl 24 games across three different Oil Pattern conditions before the first cut.
After 24 games, the field drops to 36 players. Those competitors bowl another eight-game block on Friday. The field is then reduced to 24 players for round-robin match play.
The finals will air Sunday on The CW.
