The 2025 PBA Players Championship is underway, and the first day of qualifying brought strong performances at JAX 60 in Jackson, Michigan. After eight games on the 37-foot Don Carter oil pattern, Patrick Dombrowski is leading the field of 172 bowlers.
Dombrowski finished with a total score of 1,929, averaging 241.13. He bowled in the B-squad on Tuesday evening. Right behind him is Ethan Fiore, who scored 1,905 and topped the A-squad earlier in the day. Dombrowski and Fiore were the only two bowlers to surpass 1,900 pins line. Seven other players scored more than 1,800. 2025 U.S. Open and PBA World Championship winner EJ Tackett currently sits in 105th place with 1,606 pins total. That puts him 33 pins behind the current cut line, which is held by Dick Allen in 86th place. The defending champion Bill O'Neill is in 35th with 1,729 total.
