2025 IBF World Championships Oil Pattern Revealed

The stage is set for one of the biggest events in international bowling as the 2025 IBF World Championships prepare to begin on November 24 at Top Bowl, inside the brand-new Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong.

With the world’s strongest national teams arriving for competition across Singles, Doubles, Trios, and Team of 5, anticipation is building for two weeks of elite-level competition.

Before the action begins, the International Bowling Federation has now officially released the oil pattern that will be used throughout the championship.

A 46-Foot Challenge

The official lane pattern measures 46 feet with a total volume of 30.125 mL, making it a demanding long pattern condition.

The pattern features a 2.15:1 ratio, 9.575 mL forward, and 20.55 mL reverse, with oil dropped to 44 feet.

A total of 28 national federations will participate in the Men’s Division, meanwhile Women’s Division will feature 22 national teams.

Men’s Division Teams:

Australia, Bermuda, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Macao, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United States.

Women’s Division Teams:

Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Macao, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, United States.

All qualifying and early-round matches will take place at Top Bowl, while the Trios and Team of 5 finals will move to Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Wanchai, allowing more spectators to attend the medal rounds.

With Hong Kong preparing for a major international sports showcase, both venues aim to deliver a world-class experience for athletes and fans.
