About the Tournament

The 28th DSD Samho Korea Cup International Open Bowling Tournament takes place from September 3–7, 2026, at BOWLtopia in Yongin, South Korea.

Organized by DSD and the Korea Professional Bowling Association, the international event brings together 400 professional and amateur bowlers from South Korea and abroad. The field includes players representing the KPBA, Japan Professional Bowling Association and other international bowling organizations.

Competitors bowl ten qualifying games across two days, divided into four squads of 100 players. The top 16 bowlers from each squad advance, creating a 64-player semifinal field.

The competition then changes to a best-of-three elimination format. Three head-to-head rounds reduce the field to eight bowlers. The remaining players are divided into two four-player groups for a two-game survival round, with the lowest scorer from each group eliminated.

Six players advance to the televised singles finals on September 7. The final day also includes a three-player Baker team competition featuring representatives from the KPBA, PBA and JPBA.

The tournament offers an approximately €191,159 singles prize fund, with around €38,000 awarded to the champion. Prize money is paid through 64th place. The entry fee is approximately €190, and participation is restricted to qualified and invited players.
